about

Electric Bass Guitar & Granular Synthesizer

Most of these sounds were composed and recorded spontaneously in December 2020 using a bass guitar and granular synthesizer. Parts of the original recording were then dissected and recomposed between January and April 2021.

When I listened back to the original recording, it felt like a very accurate reflection of my experiences in the past year - it conveyed specific elements of those experiences more clearly than my other music had been able to.

There is a sameness to the sounds - concrete up close - the variation on the inside - and they assert themselves.

Thank you for listening.
